Education

Masters in Architecture from Tulane University in 1976.

Experience & Qualifications

First began professional practice of residential design-build in 1978 with the start of SPENCERSMITH, INC., and then later went on to found OMNIBUILDERS, INC. a licensed Residential Building Contractor specializing in providing a modern approach toward the construction of homes.

Previous Experience

Smith's early work experience involved the design of apartment complexes for a development company focused on this specialty. This layed the ground work for an understanding of what is necessary toward the design of new communities, but more important the impressions of how the design-build process can be a compliment to each other.

Inspiration

Smith's vision is to communicate the DESIGN-BUILD process by the use of the visual benefits found on a website. Today the necessary means of communication can be properly bridged between all building partners, and design information can now be easily illustrated. The internet allows the means in sharing design information, and for the proper documentation of all material choices and decissions made. The results is a better understand of the goals involved in helping to make the process succeed.
